Dear participants, parents of participants, dance, vocal and theater studios! We invite you to take part in the summer talent festival for children and youth, organized by Jūrmalas Golf Club, dance school Dance Story and theater studio Inspire Production.

Dzintars Dreibergs

• Director and producer, who is more widely known for his work on the film "Blizzard of Souls". which is the most watched Latvian film of all time. The film, which was released in 2019, won great acclaim both in Latvia and internationally, highlighting Dreiberg as a talented and creative director.

head of the Kultfilma studio, has also worked on several other projects, both documentaries and feature films, proving his versatility and ability to attract the audience with his stories.

• graduated from the Latvian Academy of Culture, BFM, and his works often reflect a deep understanding of Latvian culture and history.

Festival for children's and youth creative groups and performers from 6-16 years old.
Our main goal is to provide a free creative platform for talented children and groups from all over Latvia, fair competition, and exchange of experience between participants and teachers.

PERFORMANCE GENRES AND NOMINATIONS
GROUP (A) – choreographic groups and soloists

• classical ballet

GROUP (B) – vocals (choirs, ensembles, musicals, duets, trios, soloists)

GROUP (C) - Original genre
• circus, clowning, acrobatics, original plastic arts, juggling;
• illusion;
• pantomime, pop miniature, theatrical miniature;
• art of sounding words, readers

AGE CATEGORIES OF PARTICIPANTS
* 6-8 years old
* 9-12 years old
* 13-16 years old

CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION IN NOMINATIONS OF GROUPS A, B, C
• For the festival, each group must present 1 or 2 competitive compositions, each lasting 2 - 5 minutes. Each soloist - one number up to 4 minutes.

Choreography
Solo - up to 2 minutes
Duo / Team - up to 3 min
• All songs must be recorded on a USB flash drive. Only MP3s accepted
• In your application, be sure to send a video of the performance (you can also upload it to YouTube and send a link), which will be presented at the festival.
• Be sure to indicate in the application soloists, duets, and small groups from three to ten people.
• During competitive performances, both groups and soloists are prohibited from using plus phonograms.

JURY
The festival includes Latvian cultural figures on the jury, and local and foreign stars may also be invited. The jury is formed by the festival organizer.
RIGHTS OF THE JURY
• the jury evaluates the competition participants using a 60-point system, the final result is the sum of the average number of points received;
• Jury decisions are final and cannot be revised.

ASSESSMENT CRITERIA
Competition evaluation criteria - GROUP (A)
• performing skills – technique of performing movements;
• compositional structure of the number
• image and image

Competition evaluation criteria - GROUP (B)
• purity of intonation and sound quality;
• performance skills, technique
• stage culture, artistry;

Competition evaluation criteria - GROUP (C)
• level of training and performance skills;
• stage performance (plasticity, costume, performance culture);
• artistic design of the program.

AWARDS

By genre of performance, awards are distributed across three age groups. The jury uses a 60-point scoring system.
Participants who score the maximum number of points become Grand Prize-winners of the festival.

Participants for 1st place in each category will receive special prizes and diplomas.
Prizes and awards are also provided

DEADLINE FOR ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS
• the deadline for accepting applications is 10 days before the start of the festival (acceptance deadline is 20.08.2024)
• participation in the festival is free
